This is my personal all time favourite Christmas film, the film follows young George Bailey throughout his life living in Bedford Falls, with dreams to go travelling, he never does due to taking on his dads banking business to prevent the richest man in town taking over, Mr. Potter. Everyone in town is thankful for George, for providing affordable housing and loans with small interest rates, allowing everyone else to have an easier life. However George continues to feel depressed due to problems and not being able to go traveling, which leads him to contemplate suicide. However, in his time of need an angel is sent down to help him realise that he has a wonderful life, and how much he's appreciated, the angel does this by showing George what the town would be like without him as well as how his loved ones would be coping if they had never met him.

6. The Night Before (2015)
This is a hilarious Christmas film for the more mature watchers, it follows three friends, Ethan, Issac and Chris (Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogenand, Anthony Mackie) have the tradition of going out partying on Christmas Eve for 10 years. This is their last year as they're all at the stages in their lives where they're not cut out for the parting life anymore. 8. The Polar Express (2004)
I remember watching this film every year at school as well as my early years at High School. This is such a magical film, about a train that takes kids on a journey to the North Pole to meet Santa Clause. The main message from the film was to show kids who don't believe in Santa, that he is in fact real.
9. The Snowman (1982)
Probably the shortest Christmas film ever but the most memorable one. This beloved cartoon is shown on TV every year on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day which gets everyone in the Christmas spirit. The film is a speechless cartoon which features David Bowie at the beginning of the film who narrates, the film is based off of a book which is about a young boy who builds a giant snowman that comes alive. The snowman takes the boy on a journey, flying through the air while the famous "Walking Through the Air" plays. This cartoon is so brilliant that Irn Bru created an advert based on that same scene and is played every year on the TV, it never gets old!
10. Gremlins (1984)
This is technically a Christmas film even though some class it asa horror, but the story is about a father who buys his son an interesting present for Christmas, a Gremlin. Not fully understanding what he's bought, the boy accidentally breaks the three rules of owning a Gremlin; rule one, don't expose it to the light, it'll get hurt; rule 2, don't get them wet, they'll multiply; and rule 3, most importantly don't feed them after midnight as they'll change into destructive little monsters.
